From 2009 to 2018, I worked as a TV and radio host in Seoul, South Korea — primarily with the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS). Starting in 2013, I anchored News Today on KBS World TV, a global English-language newscast, for five years.
During my time in Korea, I covered some of the biggest stories in the country’s recent history — including the Sewol ferry disaster in 2014, the mass pro-democracy protests and impeachment of President Park Geun-hye in 2016 and 2017, and the historic 2018 inter-Korean summit between Kim Jong-un and Moon Jae-in.
I’m also a proud member of the Asian American Journalists Association.
